the simple answer is no, the 99-03 Aprilia has a round exhaust port and the 04 has an oval exhaust port and the headers match.

you could however get creative and weld the 03 and 04 together and use the first 6" of the 03 and the rest of the 04, i just have no idea how difficult it would be

    Clarkie

I saw your response in taking the 1st 6 inches of an 03 and welding it onto the 04 header. Could i do that with a tuono and have favorable results?

I found 04 mille headers and have a friend that could easily take care of the welding part.

Is there anything else that would prevent me from fitting this header onto my tuono after mods.

My next step would be to source some slip on cans - matching of course.

Thanks for this and your countless other helpful threads.

clarkie, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't there a difference somewhere around the swingarm area as well which would make this more difficult?

i think you could make it work, it's just a matter of how much time you take to measure everything before you start cutting the headers.

i actually think the rear header joint from the 03 will fit into the 04 header and the length will be very very close to working without modification. the front will need to be cut and welded and i would do that at the first weld after the first taper

i have a couple of spare 04 mufflers at the shop that we have cored out if you are interested i also have an 04 swingarm if you want to get all CRAZY

Thanks. My friend is an insane welder and metal manipulator - if it is even remotely possible he'll make it work.

What about cwalker's statement about some swingarm difficulty?

I heard dual tigs today out at Rollin' Fast in NJ - my first, but not last visit, great guys - and nearly had an accident in my drawls. WOW! 60mm dual Tigs might be tough to rival - but the price damn!!

04s carbon fiber (blk) how do they compare weight wise - they look great esp. on a grey 03 tuono. And of course do they make your ears bleed and buildings crumble like those tigs.

If yes or even an almost to the last two questions, what are you asking for them?

As for the 04 swingarm - i'll save that for next weeks hare-brained obsession.

    thanks again

the mufflers we have are the stock (black) 04 muffler that are a straight through 60mm muffler, havent thought too much about selling them as we mainly use them as part of our exchange cores for our 04 customers.

when you get that far let me know and i will work up a price
