White Face Gauges design work is complete!

Ok, I've got countless hours of work in this design, so please go easy on me. I think I came up with a good first design. Personally, I like them a lot.

Do me a big favor and respect that this my work. Don't try to take these and have them printed else where. The gauges will be for sale through AF1 Racing for a very reasonable price.

If there is no objection to the current design, I'll look into getting these printed ASAP.

The picture below is exactly how the gauges will look. The size of the tach, speedo and temp as they appear together is all proportional.

Here are the old gauges for reference.

The circles and squares outlined in the centers are the locations of the face screws and openings for the odometer and tripometer.

Ohh 1 problem on the trip is that the european bikes are in KM's so if we could just have odo and trip it would be spot on... also would i be able to distribute in these to at all? (to the uk lads) or do i just see micah about em?

*EDIT* btw - are these just stick on vynal? or are you having new clocks machined, also i suggest you copy right or some form of protect them as u will prolly get someone (not a person a manufacturer) trying to 'rip' your ideas/hard work when they see it... there spot on awsome job ben!!!!! *BRAVO*

I can't really copywrite them because I'm using the Aprilia name and Lion logo.

I'm just asking for everyone here to respect my work. I can't stop big time manufacturers.

Craig, I'm sure we can work out something for distribution in the UK through you. I'm sure Micah won't mind.

I'll change the "MILES" to "ODO" so it matches both sides of the pond.

Reality is the gauges are simply a very thin piece of sheet metal. The temp face is actually plastic. These will be printed on vinyl, but the backing on the vinyl will be sufficient thickness to allow you two options for application. 1) peel and stick. 2) do not remove the backing ont the vinyl, poke holes through the appropriate mounting points, and simply use something no so permanent (like two-side tape) and the screws to hold it in place. Once you sandwhich it between the stock gauge face, the difuser ring, and the glass cover, it isn't going anywhere.

Wicked!!!!!!!!! Do you know how much they will be roughly. also you should do them in many other different colours.

Nope, one color. Production for multiple colors is too much $$.

I don't know what they will cost, but I'm doing my best to keep it very reasonable, which means as cheap as I can to you. Some of that will depend on how many I do in the first run. The more I can do, the cheaper they get.

Just a suggestion... How about adding "Min" and "Max" on the temp face like the stock gauge. I feel that it looks too plain without the writing and would blend in better with the other two gauges if they were to be added. Ofcourse this is just my opinion.
    Great work on the gauges!

Yeah, the temp gauge is kind of plain, but I toyed with it for hours and simple just look better in the end. The MIN MAX thing seems kind of redundant to me. The colors tell you enough.

I think everything will look pretty good when mounted in the gauges.

    Re: re

Well, I haven't really worked out any kind of exclusive deal with anyone. I guess I could play the wholesaler role and let all of you guys distribute.

I'll be able to get to the printer probably on Tuesday and get an idea of what the cost will be per set. Reason I have to wait is this weekend is a national holiday and just about everyone is closed.

Any idea how many (Sand and Craig) would want for an initial shipment?
