should a 97 extrema (imported) have a rotax 122

i have justlifted my tank 2 try and find a powervalve and i saw rotax 122 on the engin i am not thinking this is right.

the old shape aprilia is fitted with rotax 123,then the new shape is fitted with rotax 122.something must be wrong apriliaman.is the engine number are same as the frame?better give a check!
