It is quite hard if you are in experienced especially if you dont have a paddock stand. also putting it back on and making sure its safe to ride etc can be confusing, my advice is to take the bike in to get the tyre changed as most places will do this for you included in the fitting charge. Hope thats of any help.

Its bloody hard i tried it the other day i was going to change my sprockets too if u do it have 2 people to catch your bike, summary; if u take your wheel of give them the wheel its about 20 pound cheaper than tacking your whole bike in. its a pain in the arseif u do it but u can clean all the rear section while your wheels off!

Nah...My paddock stand broke so:
I have a couple of big bricks and some short lengths of wood. I carefully build them up on each side then just hoist the backend up onto them so the swingarm rest on them. Then jiggle the wood and make sure its solid (try to rock the bike). Make sure its not foiling the chain. You can leave the side stand down so you don't forget it when you take it off the 'stand'
Not sure if it'll become unsteady once the wheels out and its not weighed down. It worked for me to get the chain off and spend a few days cleaning it.
With the curved swingarm, cup type paddock stands aren't that secure I find - cf other bikes with square section straight swingarms
