    Falco pix from today

My favorite thing is to ride and shoot pictures along the way. Went for a short ride today (50 miles or so) on the Falco mostly with the intent of getting some good pix to send to my very envious brother and a couple of others.

I've put about 130 miles on the bike and I'm still getting used to most everything about it. I rode my 1600cc Kawasaki this morning and then jumped on the Falco this afternoon. Talk about "culture shock"!

Beyond the radically different seating position I had to keep reminding myself that the Falco is not happy being short shifted and lugged like the Kaw. Duh...

The riding position on the Falco is not that much to deal with if the roads are interesting and there's things going on. I'd sure hate to put in 300 miles on the freeway though. My aged body would require medical attention at the end of the day.

All in all though the Falco is just a major rush to ride (like you guys didn't know that). It's going to take me a while to get a good handle on it and that's part of the fun. Figuring out the electronic instrumentation could be a lifetime project though, even with the cheat sheet.

Anyway, here's a link to the pictures if anyone is interested:

Mate if I was you I would stop taking photos outside the drug cartels home & homeboys pad. A couple of nice shots there & yes that bike is a hoot.Welcome &

Nice photos! A pity you've got the slow one (red). Everyone know's the black ones are faster!

Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!

300 miles on a way isn't that bad. Of couse at the half way point you are questioning your sanity.

LOL. I never thought of how the pictures look from the perspective of someone who does not live in the southwestern US. I live in a semi-rural area of Arizona and half the houses look like that. OK, not half, but the ones that look the most interesting at sunset and provide a nice contrast to the flash of a bike. The people hereabouts are friendly so I rarely have to pull out my six-gun to defend my property or honor.

    (still chuckling)

The black one is faster? Darn, there goes my chance to impress wild women and super models.

No canyon pix yet. If I get some they will be static shots 'cause I nearly always ride alone. Will probably head up for the hills this Sunday. Would be my first ride through some actual twisties. For some slightly insane reason, I bought a sport bike when the nearest twisties are 60 miles away.
