I let it warm up to about 45 C before riding off then take it easy until it reaches 70 C at which it stays for the rest of the journey...
Only had it to 82 ish max and that was on a really hot day while filtering through a mile or so of traffic...
i let it warm to 50 C then it usually rises quick and hovers between 60 &70, but its still mild yet i expect it to raise when the air temp warms a little.
don't know how she does it but the wife can get it up to 92C, i think its cos she rides it slow and this hampers the airflow past the cooling parts .
well i hoope its that but knowing her she probably got head down arse up thrashing the life out of the box.
yer.... the highest i got mine too was 92 filtering traffic..
normally around 68 mine thou..
ya i let mine warn up too 50deg also, then cruise till 70deg. sits between 68ish to 85 depending on trafic n weather.
Old thread but.....
Just took my bike from Chester to Pity Me Round about (local lad's will know it) The temp was in the red section and the bike died, I though fook, so I pulled over to the side and discovered I also had zero petrol in, guess the warning light doesn't work, One long walk push it to sainsburies will remind me to keep an eye on it
Anyways gonna take the thermostat out tomorrow to see if thats ok as it seem's to get very hot even when I was tanking it back down to Chester.
coz its o cold mine is running at around 67 at the moment, it normally runs at about 74. Highest ive seen is 85, when filtering through traffic in central london on a hot day.
Today when people talk of "living through hell", it usually means that their appeal against unfair dismissal has been delayed, or the builders next door have been very noisy for several weeks. For the millions of soldiers in the trenches of the First World War, their experiences of Hell on Earth were beyond anything those of us born into Britain's most blessed generation can possibly imagine.
highest i've ever seen mine is 74, it usually stays around 65
highest ive seen mine is about 65 whilst standing still after a long ridemine useually runs at about 50
best get that new top end fitted soon eh
Hmm.. Mine seems to stay on 'Cold' mostly.. occasionaly springing to 39 or maybe 50 but then it goes back to cold again .. maybe its the weather?
Steve
that don't sound right, check the connections on the temp probe.
I will, but where am I looking?
It's on the top of the head nect to spark plug m8.
Just finished stripping mine down, the bridge that holds the thermo in place had rotted so I flung the lot, but still the temp goes upto 80 + .
Anyone had any problems with the water pump on these puppy's and are they easy to do ?
