    Question 02 Mille

I am new to the forum and need to get an education about the Mille. I used to own a 996 and just purchased an 02 Mille that is flat black and needs some cosmetic work. In other words, I just purchased a project. I have a few questions about interchangeability. Are all plastic and bodywork interchangeable from the 03 back? Will mirrors from any model fit my bike? If anybody has some in black shoot me price. Also there are some white marks on the tank and I am curious about the finish on the tank. With it being flat and the tank being plastic, how should I go about removing the white marks? Normally a rubbing compound would take something like this off but I am not so sure about this tank. I also need to replace the air intake on one side due to some cracking. Should I find some carbon replacement from an R or go aftermarket? The guy that I bought the bike from mentioned conversion kits that would allow the headlights and taillights to act as blinkers, could somebody give me a name or website to check into this. Any ideas on how and where to find parts would be a big help, thanks for the help.

'01 through '03 have identical bodywork except the rear cowl where the '03 is different.

Go with carbon wherever you need replacements, just my opinion.

The flat black finish is gloss black with a matte lacquer over it. . . if you remove one of the tank stickers, it leaves a gloss black patch!!!
The mirrors from the rs250 fit as well, there are pattern ones for sale on ebay in the UK all the time circa £30.
There's a conversion to turn the rear brake lights into indicators available in the online shop
    or an led conversion
    or a personalised led version
