People waiting for pipes from JL

Having read Craigs post about the delays in the UK postal system.

I have been chasing the Czech post over the lost pipes we sent to the UK on the 30th July + one we sent on the 2nd July all of which have not been delivered.

Seems to me the blame lies with the UK postal service not here in the Czech Republic.

I send large orders ie: 8-10 pipes by road transport, this takes a maximum of 4 working days, I think it's best for me NOT to send any more pipes to the UK by post.

Very sorry to all the customers waiting for pipes but it looks like you should all go and complain to the UK post office.

he'll just send them a different way. even if he did stop sending them all you would have to do is buy 1 from that rgv500 site or any other stockist.

Jim, the problem is mate we get told to lituraly f*** off by our postal service when we enquire about the items, we have no form of details about what you sent so we cant do sod all about this.

You send them via air mail (great) but with uterly NO form of recorded delivery or anything.

we cant POSSIBLY do ANYTHING about this situation without you geting some form of item numbers and air mail details from the CZ postal service then they need to call the british postal service and explain whats happend.

So basically, if you dont contact the CZ guys and press a complaint. Nothing will ever happen.

In the UK, it is the supplier who holds responsibility for delivery of the item. Not sure how this will work with a supplier from the Czech Republic (anyone know if they are a member of the EU?)

Essentially, if non-delivery occurs, the supplier should refund all monies paid.

Now, who is the supplier here? Craig or Jim Lomas? Jim Lomas is certainly Craig's supplier, but is Craig our supplier?

Personally, I find Jim's attitude rather poor and it would definately put me off from purchasing a pipe this way.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are held up in Customs. Try contacting C&E for advice.

There just seems to be a complete miss understanding and lack of care here.

I keep insisting on order numbers and more details about the items and recieve nothing!

We just saying Jim needs to give us more details is he wants us to try and enquire our end and locate where the exhausts are.

if the post office did their job right then it wouldnt of gotten lost in the first place, afterall your paying for a service they aint providing here, if anyone they should be paying for the missing item.

But you know how it is here, they dont have to do anything without proof of delivery from the customer.

Jim has to triger this CZ end unfortunately.

This has just been one big fuck up and in all honesty, its probably the royal mail who have fucked it up.

When you hand money over to someone in this country, you enter into a contract. There are laws in place to ensure people are not ripped off.

As it stands at the moment, people have purchased an exhaust, which has failed to arrive. Lets examine who is at fault.

I think all these exhausts have been purchased through Craig. So, as it stands at the moment, Craig has a duty to provide the exhaust to the customer. The customer has a right to expect him to provide the exhaust or refund all monies paid. That is the end of it for anyone here who has purchased an exhaust.

Craig has a contract with Jim Lomas. Now, this is where it gets hazy as obviously, UK law will be difficult to enforce, but there may be a European one.

Finally, Jim Lomas has a contract with the Czech postal service.

So, ATM everyone is expecting Craig to deliver, which he has failed to do (not his fault I know, but that is a fact).

Craig needs to get his money back from Jim Lomas, and finally, Jim Lomas would need to sue the Czech postal service for his money.

Essentially, the only thing that would stand up in a British Court is that Craig has taken money from customers and failed to provide goods or services.

Unfortunate, but reality I'm afraid.

technically he has only been paid for 1 of the 5 exhausts or however many it is thats been ordered.


i'll keep my nose out of this anyways not my exhausts so it dont really concern me.
