    Coolant leak from thermostat.

On this episode of “My bike always has problems”

I’m sitting in my garage and I notice a pool of some kind of liquid on the engine block and after some investigation it looks like coolant is leaking from the thermostat near the threads. My first thought is to take it off, putt some nylon tape or some kind of seal then replace it but I just want to see what other people have done or your ideas. I think I may have read this happening before and sorry if this is a duplicate thread.

Oh no, not again! I think you might be safe from having to ride this season, but take it apart first, just to make sure.

Putting some nylon tape on the threads should do the trick right? Or should I should I use a paste? The temp sensor obviously works or I would have noticed something straight away when I was out earlier.

Also if a mod could change "thermostat" to "temp sensor" in the title that would be great. Coolant is leaking from the temp sensor threads not the thermostat.
