Inaugural (Melbourne) Club Aprilia Alpine Tour: Nov 19-21

Australian Aprilia Owners. Details of the Inaugural Melbourne Club Aprilia Alpine Tour.

19th - 21st November - Inaugural Club Aprilia Alpine Tour

    Friday 19th Nov

There are two Melbourne meeting points, one in Lillydale the other in Mill Park. The two groups will rendezvous in Yea by 10am, departing soon after.

Here are the details of the two meeting points:

Meeting Point 1: Shell Service Station/McDonalds car park - Plenty Road, Mill Park (approx 4-5km's North of the Western Ring Road)

Meeting Point 2: McDonalds Lillydale, Maroondah Hwy outbound towards Healesville.

Meet with full tanks of fuel from 8:00am for a 8:30am departure.

The 2 groups will meet at Yea at 10am, then head to Mansfield, through the Victorian high country then over the border into NSW, our stop for the evening being Tumut. Accommodation will be at the Royal Hotel. The pub offers good clean budget lodgings, and under cover parking for the bikes. Allow $30 - $35 each for twin share accommodation each night.

    Saturday 20th Nov

Leaving early we will take in the best roads the Alpine Region has to offer. We will arrive in Beechworth with accommodation at the Beechworth Motor Inn. Plenty of pubs and cheap restaurants in town for dinner, and all a 2 minute ride from the hotel. Again the Motel offers good clean and cheap rooms, under cover parking, and a great outdoors picnic area for sitting outside, downing a few after dinner drinks and watching the satellites pass in the clear night sky (we have booked the weather already !).

    Sunday 21st Nov

Brekkie at the bakery in Beechworth, we will then make our way south, back over the Victorian Alps then down to Gippsland arriving for lunch at the infamous Mad Cow Tea Rooms in Stratford. From there, we will make our way back to Melbourne arriving late afternoon.

Post a reply to this thread if you are interested in joining the ride.

Can't make the GP this year (the house we were going to rent fell through, owner is selling), so to compensate I might be able to talk thie missus into letting me go to this. Otherwise it's defiantely a track day to the Creek Dec 15th.

I'll let you know, soonishIf I come, I'll probably meet you at Tumut.
Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!
