    fork lower lugs

Anyone have any experience/comments on how to remove the lower lugs/castings on upside down forks? I understand that they are screwed on with nuclear Loctite so that the lug must be heated to just short of melting (and remove the allen screw if so equipped) and it would call for a device to clamp the leg in order to turn it. I don't really need reasons why I should not do this I was just thinking someone may have done it previously and could talk about how they did it . Thank you!!!
