PSA - Ebay seller parting out black '02 Futura

    http://stores.ebay.com/MOTORCYCLE-GU..._sid=930245399

I'm a relative newbie here, so I don't know if PSAs are discouraged - if so please delete as required.

I have no affiliation with this seller (or any other on ebay) - just trying to help out other Fut owners who might be looking for something.

    Good Luck

Someone scored the deal of the century, snagging those Staintune exhaust cans for $125............well done.

I was going to wait until I actually had them in my possession to say anything, but yes, I'm hoping that they're in good shape and as shown in the pictures. I do seem to have lucked out. (fingers crossed)

The next step is to figure how to best clean them up a bit - I've never really had to deal with stainless exhaust stuff. (step #3 is to find an h-pipe...)

Stainless is a really hard metal, so it takes some work to scratch the surface. That said, something like green Scotchbrite will change the surface appearance. Start with a spot that doesn't show easily and start with a nylon scrubber/brush and if that's not enough add in more abrasives. Even a brass brush will not scratch stainless, it's just too soft. There are also cleaners/polishers meant specifically for stainless like https://www.amazon.com/3M-Stainless-.../dp/B00WQIUX2Y

    and congrats on the find
