I have to agree with CRMNL. Wow. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I need to visit my homeland via a two wheeled tour

Road warrior after a long day. jacket is full of radio, cameras, power bars, and DUST.
Ok, this is the part where shit gets real.
After arriving at Villa O'Higgins, we are rushed over to the local airfield. Daniel has set up a personal flight for us to go fly over Mount Saint Fitz-Roy! We will fly about 50 miles south in restored (sic) airplane. I'm sure Micah et al, will know all about it; age, mileage, Max Alt, etc. All I know is that I was more terrified than motion sick(a long standing problem of mine), so I was able to get some great pics!

Looking down at Villa O'Higgins. If it doesn't fly or ride, or boat, it prolly won't get there. Also known as the End of the Carretera Austral road. To get farther south in Chile, you have to go back a few hours, turn right to Argentina, then go a few more hours south to the end of the continent. With the desert of Argentina and the relative lack of anything, not much reason to do that.

    headed for Mt FitzRoy.
Where glaciers come from. Millions of years of snow accumulation, slowly works its way downhill, and creates individual glaciers. These calve into the water as icebergs.
My favorite pic from the inside of the cockpit. Mountain, angle limited, height about 9k, and not much hp. The pilot would fly towards the mountain, then take the air current to get over and around them...

LolZ.... hmmm, well, I haven't been to NZ yet, or Alaska, or Canada, or ridden to Baja, or to the Black Sea, or West Virginia(I heard they have nice roads there), as I'm just getting into offroad that leaves the TransAmericaTrail(TaT), the SouthEasternAdventureTrail(SEAT) Road to Prudhoe Bay, or Nova Scotia, Alaska to Argentina
and there's always the Alps, you haven't really ridden until you've ridden in the Alps; again..

    Nice pics.
But where you'd pick up the Captain Kangaroo lookalike with the SideShow Bob Hairdo???!

He doesn't look like a local.
Since it was highly recommended, I put THEGEEK on ignore and the forum IS a much nicer place!!
