2000.5 Mille r been sitting a few years

My son has a Mille r thatís been sitting in the garage a few years while heís been gone to college. Plan on getting it out this spring. What would be a good starting point to make sure everything is mechanically perfect for him?

New gas and check all other fluids would be a good start. That and a new battery.

Yep listen to kzmille. Also after you run it change the oil/filter.
My son had that model. Best paint of all the Gen1 Aprilias. IMHO!!!

    Cheers to a great Dad.

    He'll love a set of Battlax S21s with a 190/55 rear!

You may want to refresh the forks (new oil and seals) and lube the needle bearings in the rear suspension/shock linkage.

Below are a couple of links on the subject. Doing a search on the forum will yield a lot more info. Specifics on the fork is different for Showa vs Ohlins. The workshop manual has a lot of good info.

Go ahead and change fuel filter to baseplate fuel hose and connectors and internal fuel and vent lines, they cannot be safe at this age and sitting that long!
