Heated hand grips

Last spring I have bought a beautyfull 2010 Aprilia Shiver 750. I like this bike very match, but one of the features that I miss on my Shiver are heated hand grips, this is why I decided to install some aftermarker chinese heaters, like the one in the picture.


I have removed the grips from bougth ends of my handlebar, but I'm not sure how to install the heater on the throttle tube.


Did any of you guys solved this problem?

I have only ever fitted heaters integrated into the grip.
I presume they would wrap around the throttle tube, then the grip would go around that. However, the fit is very tight and cannot slip. Also, the left hand heater would lie directly on the metal handlebar and would lose a lot of heat.

Thin shrink wrap tubing or a layer or 2 of electrical tape on the handlebar will help hold the heat in the left side grip.

You'll have to make your throttle tube completely smooth. You can shave off the ridges with a sharp knife or use a bench grinder.
