Bike has 6600 miles. I've got a headstock stand. Just haven't gotten around to changing the fork oil yet. Definitely on my to do list. Most likely 10w.
2014 DD 750 ABS - Spark exhaust, Arrow decat, headers (all ceramic coated), BMC filter, BikeMaster DLFP16-BS LiFePO battery, NGK iridium plugs, GPR steering damper, DD 1200 fully adjustable rear shock w/spring swap, 2016 Tuono Factory wheels, 15/44 520 conversion (PBR/Superlite/DID), Strada-7 fork preload adjusters, Samco 2-piece hose kit w/clamps, Engine Ice, Renazco Racing seat, EvoTech tidy tail, Aprilia grab handles, shorty levers, crank-case breather mod, evap-can delete... and a Rapid Bike EVO.

What is your rear suspension like? I'm wondering if slightly soft rear suspension causes the bike to rake out in turns, reducing front grip, but "safely". So by pitching the bike forward (lowering the fork clamps), you instead get a more neutral geometry mid-corner. Refreshing the damping side of things will reduce any porpoising from mismatched spring rates front and rear.

Rear suspension is a DD1200 unit with a spring swap. I've set up the sag pretty well, and then used a zip tie around the post to dial it in a bit more to prevent bottoming out. Comp and rebound damping are fairly good for the typical riding I do. I'll have to put more miles in with the front end lowered, to see how I like the effect.

Miles is best. If the spring in the shock was selected to suit you and your riding style, then it might be that the forks are simply too soft by comparison. Fork oil height could be an avenue to explore if springs are not an option.
