    Aprilia RS125 for sale

2009 USA model RS125 fitted with Pollini 154cc big bore kit.
This bike was purchased as a track only bike and modifiedover the past year to be set up for either track day or road use. The bike nowhas fully functioning electrics and passed a Texas safety inspection inpreparation for registration at the DMV.
Here is a list of the specific changes made to the bike overthe stock set up.
    Pollini 154cc big bore kit
    Dellorto 34mm carburetor
    Vforce 3 reed valve
    K&N air filter
    Arrow expansion chamber and can
    415 chain and sprockets
    Woodcraft rear sets
    New Pirelli Rosso 111 tires
    Koso instrument panel
    EGT sensor and gauge
Selletra inner rotor kit (not currently fittedbut recommended for track days. Both set ups available depending on your needs)
I rebuilt the engine replacing all bearings in the bottomend, had the crank professionally trued after replacing the big end bearing androd. Compression is very high on this motor measured around 180 psi, squish isat 1.00mm according to my measurements. At the moment the power valve is set asalways open but the wiring from the ECU is there if desired.
The swing arm and shock linkage bearings were also replacedwhile I had it stripped down. Everything is in spec and functional.
Cosmetically the bike was a bit rough so I had it painted andadded some Rossi Decals to brighten things up. (If you donít like Rossi you canpeel them off and decorate as desired).
The reason for selling is that I just found a very niceMille R and want to focus on that as a track day bike next year. (Maybe gettingtoo old for messing with these 2 strokes.)
I want to stress in the ad that if you donít know thesebikes itís probably not for you. Definitely not a school commuter 125 so donít wantto waste anyoneís time.
More than happy to show the bike to interestedbuyers.

Difficult one to put a price on. I searched the internet and cant find anything else similar for sale right now as a comparison. I know I probably spent more on it than I should have (as usual). What about $3500 ?

No it does not have a title. I was going to apply for a Texas title but decided to wait see if someone really wanted to put it on the street. I am in no hurry if you wanted to wait until after the holidays I am ok with that.

No promises but I will see if I can figure out some money stuff after the Holidays. I would be using it on the street so a title would be a requirement. The power valve being hooked up would make it more streetable too. I will need to check with my shipper too. Again, no promises. If you have another interested party go for it!

Are there any issues with the power valve? Have you run it with the power valve hooked up? Is there anything else required to get it functional again?

    Hi,
i had it running with the power valve and to be honest did not feel much difference on the Polini cylinder i donít think the opening point programmed in the std Ecuador is ideal for the way the polini powerband comes in. With power valve open it is actually quite good at
lower revs for a 2 stroke. Having said that the valve is fitted and the wire sitting there ready to go.

Not sure about the GA rules for getting a title. I thought I would have more interest from people wanting this as a track bike so did not pursue getting the title but it seems the opposite. If I go ahead and title it here in Texas that might make it easier for out of state buyers wanting to transfer the title. Let me see what I can do at the DMV.

For Ohio, having at already titled in another state makes it exponentially easier to register once it is brought into the state. Even for a track bike, a lot of people would still prefer to have the title as it does make it easier to sell down the road. I am also still interested; just need to make sure it makes financial sense right now.

A title from another state is a definite plus when re-titling. I have heard that some states, Georgia, specifically has been actually pulling existing titles from two strokes making what was legal now illegal. I can't verify this but that's worth looking into. Hopefully its an urban myth and not a spreading reality.
