    Gloss vs Matt carbon parts

So I`ve always been keen on the matt carbon looks, and replaced my euro 4 kak front mudguard with a matt carbon. My Akra can is gloss carbon and I bought a set of gloss carbon side panels to paint silver and adorn with RSV4 graphics. The problem is when I received the gloss panels I thought they look too good to paint I`m just going to stick the graphics on them as they are and then I thought what about the matt with the graphics?
I have just received my matt side panels today and cant make my mind up which I prefer
The set I dont use will be up for grabs.
Will post pics of the matt fitted on bike the morra!

I like them both as long as they are the same for all pieces, i.e. side pieces, fenders, chain guard etc. However, I feel the matt one is a nice contrast to the 2017 graphics. I think the glossy pieces will fit nicely with the 2018 graphics. Just my 2cts

I had some gloss aftermarket stuff, looked good. But then got some OEM matt hugger/side panels/fender. I like the matt better. Ordered a Ilmberger in matt, cost more for matt than the gloss, not sure why. Should be here Feb/Mar I hope!

But, in the end, it's what you like on your bike that you think looks best. I don't think one or the other, (matt/gloss), is wrong, both look good!!

Wonder if you could give them a matte finish with some prep using Scotchbrite or 2000-grit sandpaper, a good cleaning and then finishing with a non-gloss clearcoat?

I use Matt as do race teams. I prefer the look, race teams use Matt, its slightly lighter.

I sprayed a piece I needed in matte with matte clearcoat. Works fine, except I didn't prep the gloss to properly receive the matte clearcoat so from time to time a bit of gloss shows through and I touch it up
Before anyone gets triggered by my process 1) the piece was absolutely NOT available in matte, and 2) I did want to (at least while experimenting) be able to restore back to the gloss if I hated the look

I like them both but not mixed. All one or the other. My 675R has the glossy. Looks great. If I had to pick one I'd go for the matte though.
