2016 rsv4rr storage in So Cal

I know it probably seems like another storage question and yes it is but with a little different scenario.
i just had ACL reconstruction on my knee a few days ago. I live in Buena Park Ca, a city in Southern California just 30 miles east of Los Angeles. Our weather here is not too cold but my question is: I will be storing my Rsv4 inside my garage during my recovery from surgery. I go out every few days to start it up but really just to keep from having withdrawals from riding. I wont be back to riding for at least two months maybe three. Is there any advice on how this storage should be done? Id appreciate it.
    With Gratitude,

I just start mine every weekend and bring it to operating temp, give it a few revs and kill her until the following week. It just never really drops below 50 degrees here for more than an hour or so, so I think we don’t have much to worry about. I’ve never had an issue with any of my track bikes even after sitting for 6 months un ridden

Put a battery tender on it to keep your battery healthy. The immobiliser & clock have a parasitic drain on the system.

Probably not a bad idea to add a little fuel stabilizer to the tank and fill it with gas. Between that and a battery tender you should be good. Do you have stands? If so put it on the stands to keep the tires from flat spotting or roll it around the garage a little once in a while. Probably overkill, but you'll have time on your hands right?

Good video, covers the extremes & if taken in context for your own situation, great advice.

The owners manual says not to use substances or additives in the gas. I recently purchased some VP non ethanol race gas to fill my tank for winter storage and the shop owner who builds car and bike race motors told me not to use a stabilizer as he sees a discoloration or varnish on the internals on those motors that have used stabilizers. And, he won’t sell any in his shop. Also, if you must start the bike occasionally during long storage periods to satisfy your craving ok but otherwise counterproductive and doing more harm than good. If you start it ride it.

I agree with dcboy.. better to just fill up and run some non-ethanol fuel prior to storage rather than regular fuel with a stabilizer in my opinion.

Non ethanol fuel would be best if you can get it. Not sure if I'd store it with race fuel though... some race fuel needs to be drained immediately after use if the bike is going to sit (MR12 comes to mind) but not sure about VP's other race fuels.

VP makes a dizzying variety of race fuel but the unleaded, non ethanol C-9 type is good for 5 years in the aluminum can that it comes in and 2 years in plastic such as our gas tanks according to their tech support line. He also said not to stabilize.
