Hi Just been watching a video on GPR exhaust site they fit one of the cans and simply remove/disconect the exhaust valve cables and mechanism Has anyone done this and if so does the bike run OK without any warning lights coming on.Cheers Steve

I think you will need the Healtech exhaust servo eliminator to avoid the warning light...

Yes, the Healtech plugs into the wiring socket of the servo motor that you remove when you remove the servo itself and the cables leading to the exhaust valve. Basically it cons the bikes 'brain' into thinking the servo is still there. Its pretty straightforward to fit and they cost about £40.

Attention! You must re-mapping if use Gpr cans. You loose about 20 hp with db killer. Search for the graphic that I've posted about a Dyno launch here on the forum.
Look here: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...-exhaust/page5 and here: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...&highlight=gpr

When I decided to install an SC-Project carbon oval, I removed the exhaust servo motor and exhaust all in one piece. I kept everything together in case I wanted to reinstall later.
So....with the SC-Project can(unplugged), no mapping change and the ESE installed, I only catch a red light randomly if I do a start up in chillier than normal temps. I will go out though after a few minutes and a restart. So far, so good after 33,000 miles. (53108km).

Hi All. I've just fitted a GPR exhaust to my Caponord. I followed their video instructions as well and hoped that the warning light would disappear after a few rides. However, it didn't so I resorted to a Healtech. No warning light since this was fitted. No baffles fitted and it sounds fantastic. Recommended. Best regards, Richard.

I have GPR, ESE, DNA stage 1 (normal) air filter, Rapid bike easy fuel module. The whole thing looks great, pulls hard and sounds amazing. And with the help of the fuel module the throttle response is much smoother.

Can I do this farkle or modification without red warning lights and a decrease in power. Im hoping for an increase in power. FYI I live in Ca US with unusual restrictions in exhaust modifications. I happened to see a stock muffler with major disfiguration in color and look that makes me think of making the move. A slip on has been something Ive always done with my rides going back to a Honda CB with a Kerker. Is there a step by step for idiots to install a slip on for the Capo that does all?
