Another bad farkle gives me grief

Does anyone know the name or company selling this farkle? The previous owner of my Tuono bashed out the lenses on both sides of the taillight, and floated these nasty led strips in the holes. Letting in rain and dirt, to help destroy the nasty electrical tape now holding the wiring all back together. When will folks stop the monkey see monkey do farkles? Bike has had electrical issues having these monkey farkles is rotten luck. Just ride the bikes stop messing them up!

On mine, the openings where your LEDs are mounted are open holes. No lenses there. I'm assuming they're exhaust ports as there are inlets further forward on the tail fairings.

So, why not remove the offending LEDs? I agree, they do look like a$$.

    Agree with ioneater

No lights or lens were bashed out.

There is no light that is supposed to be there.

Previous owner must have added the bling. Your best bet is to trace the wiring and remove.

Thanks for the info! The pictures of other Tuono's look like they had red lens in those holes! Yes I gotta remove the mess, all the electrical tape is coming off now, don't use electrical tape it's like a timed release mechanism.

For a better (at least I think so) than stock look consider switching to clear rear lens & clear, front and rear turn signals

Note - rear turn signal lens are left & right. They are not interchangeable.

And then there are those that don't even know that no part was actually screwed up..

Just remove them and be done with it.
