    Addendum

Just in case a Caponord 1200 owner is reading this thread, I recently spoke with Amauri about servicing my 2016 Capo Rally. He advised that it would be better to seek dealer servicing for these, as their rarity means he has much less experience with them. It was not an outright "No", but a suggestion meant for my benefit. Straightforward and honest!

That makes no sense at all, he can service any bike. What's the big difference???
Will be interested in amauris comment on that.

The big difference is that I prefer to stay focused on the RSV4, and old RSVR bikes.

I advised Ricardo J in the same way I advice my customers who ask me to work on their other bikes like Ducati, KTM, BMW, etc...

I don't have all the special tools for the Capo, Shiver & Dorso bikes.
I do have all the the technical documentation available to me, but I've not take the time to study any of it in depth as I have with the RSV4 and RSV2 bikes.

I keep enough spare parts in stock for the RSV4 and RSV2 to perform anything from a simple service to a compete engine overhaul. All I have for the Capo is an oil filter.

In the past four years I've only seen four Capos, Shivers and Dorsos combined. That includes both in my shop and on the roads. They're not popular around here.

So how about you guys in the area start buying more Capos and I'll commit to investing time and money to be able to service them correctly.

Not at all to take away from Amauri - he's one of the finest around, and contributes heavily to the shared knowledge here. But - to answer the original question - you have a few options, just none that are close to you.

Reminds me of the old saying "Jack of all trades, Master of none" - I'd rather specialists be Specialists even though I'll never be able to benefit from Amauri's expertise/services - or those of AF1 :-(
