mkI capo exhaust cans "aprilia racing"

I originally tagged this query on the end of my spring query.
The cans on my bike have the above logo on red/black rectangular plates mounted on black heat shields.
Standard or not? The cans seem fairly quiet but I read on here somewhere they can be cored?

Sounds like you have OEM cans that the previous owner farkled up with Racing stickers.

That would be an expensive mistake. More noise, yes. But accompanied by less performance.

Tried without success - told you I am a ludite - stu o's explanation seems most likely having viewed the parts list... best to leave well alone I think
