Possibly the best-looking bike Kawasaki has ever done.

Micah, my ZX-7R was a '92 with some kit parts and Muzzys goodies. 119 ponies at the back tire and yet still very sweet on backroads. At a Willow Springs trackday it comfortably ran with GSX-R1100s down the front straight. Amazingly trustworthy front end feel, then later chassis-optimized at GMD Computrack in El Segundo. That's a bike I wish was never sold!

Well, although the 2 strokes really had me going, I ended up with a 1980 CBX. A local sale made it too easy; the seller delivered it today! It is a bit rough at the moment, but should clean up nicely with some elbow work. I'll post pics after the holidays. It only has 13500 kms, 2 previous owners, and has the sport bars. In the scheme of things, it was inexpensive, at around 5k USD, so there should be a good upside. I'll post back in 20 years when I'm being carted off to the home, and cashing it out...

This has developed into quite a big business with the 250 Replica prices jumping in Japan, Europe, and the States thanks to the 25 year laws here in the States.
