But the factory exhaust header has a left and right side for the dual cans . So you would have to have the piping all going into one on that side .Cut and weld ???

No, This guy customized so the exhaust came out on one side .I like it a lot better than the standard pipes .This leaves a clean look for the rear of the bike .I think the factory can location take away from that and the Gen 2 looks sleeker this way

Why couldn't you just take a Gen 1 2-1 collector, change out the attach flanges to the 4-bolt types, then make sure the outlet is compatible with the inlet on the little twin pipes?

Rain might be a concern. Do they have drain plugs?

Well I don't know . Im just curious as I have never seen this before . Thinking about one of these Lion head T versions as one is for sale near me .I have never had a 2nd Gen . I like the look of the Lion head T version . I suppose a pretty comfortable ride similar to Gen 1 ??

Looks good. I bet it has absolutely zero bottom/mid-range though.

I find the first gen T to be far more comfortable on the wrists and knees than 2nd gen T, having owned both. With the exception that the 2nd gen had much better wind protection.
    Jap bikes suck.
