    Newbie From North East England

Just thought I would say Hi to everyone on here, took delivery of a 2016 Capo TP yesterday, although the roads were covered in salt I couldn't resist a ride out so off I went around Teasdale and Weardale. This is my first aprilia and if that first ride is anything to go by I,m going to really enjoy this bike, the handling, noise and comfort.Could I ask a couple of questions I didn't get an owners manual(dealer going to sort me one out) if the suspension is set to auto what should I see on the dash mine was constantly scrolling through solo, two up and pannier icons is this corect. Also bike has come with the exhaust pipes wrapped is there a reason for this i.e. excessive heat form the pipes if not I think I will remove it.Cheers Steve

    Greetings, Rigormoot!

For the aDD suspension, the system is in full automatic when the display is scrolling through all three icons as you describe.

Wrapped headpipes are not a good idea on the road, especially wet and salted ones. This will lead to accelerated corrosion and general nastiness.

Welcome Steve, I bet it was a lovely ride around today, I love Weardale/Teasdale and all that area. Any photos? The scrolling symbols you've seen on the dash is correct for the Auto mode. I'm not sure why your exhausts are wrapped, I've not seen one like that myself but I'm guessing its to reduce the heat, I don't really think thats a problem in the North East of England however.

    Welcome aboard!

Auto only affects the preload of the rear shock. It works best to pick a setting and go with that (then you don't have to watch the flashing!) unless you are carrying varying loads and two up. the solo rider mode is set for tiny italians, so leaving the bike in 2 up is a good compormise.

We mebbe should try and organise a get together sometime? There's myself, Andyroo and Chris in York, all fairly close by, Rockbyter too, although he's gone over to the dark (KTM) side, but we won't hold that against him!

    Welcome Rigmoroot!

ive just bought a Capo too. I went for a ride a couple of weeks ago with Cool on the Coast, it was a great afternoon. Two Capos with that lovely loud v rain noise sounded great. Well all have to get together for a ride next spring
