    Tasmania + Caponord = heaven

Guys Iím writing this on the ferry back to the mainland and maybe the beer Iíve just slurped is talking but f@$k me if Tasmania is not the best riding experience ever show me what is. AND I swear La Capona was just an utterly brilliant companion.
Tasmania is some of the most technical and challenging riding Iíve ever done. Wet, icy, sunny, off camber, tightening radius hairpins, flat out sweepers, coast, mountains...it has everything to test and amuse rider and bike. And the sound of that twin barking and booming out of corners is still ringing in my ears.
    Yup, Iím in love!

That tyre!!! Haha... you've been giving it some! No chicken strips on the edge!

Went there in 1981 on my z650 Kwaka (which was a modern bike back then)
Planning to head there again in March 2018 on the Rally.... looking forward to it.

    You must.

Although autumn and spring = less cars on the roads

Ah, yes Tasmania, you've been riding in my backyard & is the best place to ride, even more fun in summer without the snow & ice.
I always describe it as a race track with towns every now & again. lol
best of all there is very little traffic in the best places.

    Nice pics.
Hope you got to Hellyer Gorge, Reece dam, Elephant pass, St Marys pass.

    You lucky bugger.

Didnít get to Hellyer or Reece but did do Elephant and St Maryís. The former was epic.

Lake Leake rd was like riding Phillip Is turns 1,2,11 & 12 on repeat

Hard to pick a favourite but the B28 south of Tullah comes close.

    It was all amazing.

And you get to ride it without luggage.

Oh yeah, Lake Leake, haven't ridden it in 20 years, must get back to it, the whole of the East Coast is excellent, I must do more of it. It's been a long while since I've been over that way.
Actually; as I said before it's all good.

Wow, this sounds like the first thing I've heard about that could actually top my ride in Lofoten this summer. Since shipping my Capo some 14,000 miles might get long and expensive, I guess I'll have to start looking into rentals or tours though.

If ever youíre down under, make sure you let the Aussies and Kiwis here know.

We have some pretty good rides down here in the south east of Australia, plus one the worldís best circuits at Phillip Island if you fancy a track day.

New Zealand is on my to do list now...

Your northern travels looked amazing too. One day...

OK Tassie looks good, but you really need to check out New Zealand. SudEst you will not be disappointed. This is one of my favorite NZ roads, and yes I am re posting on old link, but check this out :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPhCVjtHo7U

    Yeah that looks pretty spesh.

It will likely involve a family tour of NZ which might mean a day on the bike for me. If you could have only one day on NZ roads where would it be?
