I was in at the track near turn 9 on the grandstand, I was seriously ashamed of Sam, being an Aprilia fan (part of the Aprilia grandstand with bracelet & t shirt), I'm convinced he crashed on purpose because given one more lap, Dovi Zarco & JLo would have lap'ed him. If you can relook at the race & see where he crashed (turn 1 I believe), Dovi & JLo were on the back straight at the same time.

He didn't even tried to race, I could see turn 8 to 15 from my seat, looking at his lines, his acceleration, his braking points... on the opening lap I thought he was mid pack & I was happy because when I saw Rabbat whom I believe was last... Sam arrived a good 10 seconds after. He should call off sick for the last race, the whole thing is a disaster.

I'm starting to believe Zarco will not replace Rossi at the end of 2018, he will replace Vinales.

3 great races today, 3 and 2 such a crash fest unfortunately. Binder has really got a rhythm going, looking forward to see how he does next year. Mir might get 11 if all goes well.
Podium finishers in MotoGP all worked hard for their positions, well done.

Luthi's highside was brutal and Tatsuki's was no walk in the park either.

KTM has to be pretty excited for 2018 moto2.
Marc VDS has to excited for Mir coming on board. Marquez not so much.

Tech 3 has to have some concerns about even wanting Yamaha's 2017 GP bikes.
I don't care about my apathy.

I read something yesterday that Folger's seat on Tech 3 might be in doubt due to his health.

Possibly, but he also said earlier that the Yami isn't up to snuff, especially in the wet. I think he & Vinales both said the rear slides/spins too much, moreso in the wet. I could be wrong.

Lorenzo has found his wet weather confidence though. That red streak he left behind from the knee puck might be a bigger save than Marquez's one from Saturday

is it just me not remembering, or have these past two seasons have had a lot more wet races than normal?

    edit: yeah - see http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/886...impossible-wet

Hilarious! In all fairness though, I bet that was just a translation from what in Italian means "track conditions," although I suppose that doesn't change anything seeing as everyone had those same conditions.

Beware the festive dog; drive soothingly over the grease-mud, for therein lies the skid demon.

What another masterful ride by Dovi to keep his very slim title hopes alive in what would have been tough conditions (hot and humid) in addition to the wet track. Lorenzo didnt appear to be making life easy for him either, would have been interesting had he (99) not had the moment at Turn 15 that allowed Dovi to slip underneath as he was setting a good pace.

What about that save on the kneee by Marcquez in FP4!

Funny how Yamaha have gone backwards since they lost their main development rider , yet mysteriously Ducati have improved ?
