Nice to see #onit up there in wet FP2 ahead of Zarco, Miller, Crutchlow, and both Red Bulls. Well done Sam.

It would be more than a little funny if Sam Lowes turned in Aprilia's best result of the season while his failien teammate is on sabatical. #onit

It wouldn't be funny at all, it'd be proof positive that aprilia are a small time outfit that can't prepare 2 bikes t the same standard

Your criterion for "proof" is lower than mine. Or maybe it is confirmation bias.

No, it would be proof that even a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut.

Yeah whatever. No coincidence that Cal had his best run of form on the Honda when Pedrosa was injured and he suddenly had extra help from Dani’s HRC techs

I would luv sam to stick that peace of junk on the podium. And that was the only podium that they ever get. They were interviewing albersneezy, or what ever his name is about is sam getting any of the updated parts that esparugus is getting. He bluntly said no. He come across as being an utter . So i pray it rains and Sam gets that podium.

Romano is smart. He won't give the best bike to Sam, just to have him crash it into oblivion. It's the same as tossing the keys to the Ferrari to a teen.

I listened to Albesiano's comments during the FP2 live feed. To be fair to him, he also said his riders' motorcycles are not that much different in terms of specification, this is why there were no new "updates" coming for Sam apart from the latest aero fairing. Even if they had a raft of new parts why would they complicate Sam's race weekend in that way? Keep it simple and let the guy get on with it.

Despite what you might think ape666, Aleix doesn't agree.

Espargaro - who has also raced Ducati, Yamaha and Suzuki MotoGP machinery - stated that the RS-GP's chassis is the best he has ridden.

"I don't know if the RS-GP frame is one of the best on the grid, but it's the best I've ever ridden. It suits my riding style a lot, going into the corner I can carry unbelievable speed. Super fast. I have a lot of feeling with the front tyre and this is the best thing for me.

"So we need to improve the engine. The engineers know. The bike needs to lose some weight and improve the engine, because Aprilia and myself have a great opportunity to fight for very important things next season."
