That's the thing that's giving the Euro crowd rusty nipples.
88 days here in a row with no rain.

We'd be lucky to get 88 hours just now Stu but no rusty nipples as I did mine a few years ago with stainless

I just replaced my front pads again and used EBC HH pads, a switch from the Galfors? that were on there. Not a lot of miles yet but the EBC's are a solid and sure feel. The problem with stiffening the forks is that your ride over pot holes gets worse. Here in the Pacific North West the government considers pot holes to be an incentive to drive commuters onto public transportation. A soft ride is a must...

I am interested in this thread just for the fact that my pads getting thin.....

I think that a lot of people equate long travel suspension with soft suspension. They think that the forks are soft because as they compress with breaking, the low speed compression damping lets the forks travel through most of it's travel. Proper braking should be linear and smooth where hard braking can make you feel like the forks have folded under the bike without proper weight springs and spring rates.

But that is another discussion for another day. Stu and Raven and the rest of the SoCal guys, what are you using for pads in areas with 360 days of dry per year?

I have hyperpro springs in the front and no excessive dives during braking...

By the way, i have replaced rear pads today with ferodo platinium series. Equilivant to EBC HH. The are pretty good.

I switched to EBC Kevlar the first time I needed new pads - sometime in 2005.
