04 RSVR Factory. I was a Ducati nutbag back then and remember walking into Fay Myers in Denver and seeing the silver factory for the first time. Ducati lust ended right then and there. It was truly love at first sight, but it was like the stable boy pining for the wheel heeled mistress that shows up every morning to ride the horses. I just could not afford one. Years of E-Bay addiction paid off one year later when I bought one with 738 miles on it with light damage from a low side crash. For half price!! Aprilia was in the death throes at the time and I was hesitant to buy one based on their prospects. Discovering AF1 was the tipping point for buying that bike. I had a 996 a couple years previous which never really delivered what I thought it should have performance wise. The first hardcore twisty ride on that Factory was freaking magic. The connection to the front tire telepathic. I've owned 27 motorcycles in my lifetime and this bike was truly the best motorcycle I have owned..... yet.

1st Aprilia was 1994 RS250 replica. Didn't know to much about them at the time, just that I knew 250's were fun. Owned a RD350lc YPVS when new. Was living in the UK at the time, only paid 1800 UK pounds, bike had 2,000 miles on it. Was an absolute blast to ride. Did a bunch of tracks day on it. Traded it to the local Aprilia shop and got me a 1999 Mille, another super fun bike. That I learned how to do stand up wheelies on it. Rode it to the Nurburgring a few times, before eventually crashing it at a Castle Commbe track day. Fixed her up and did tracks day at Thruxton, Goodwood (with the old Frontiers motorcycle shop in south London somewhere). Also Brands hatch Indy & GP circuit. Before finally selling it and heading back to LaLaLand California.

Since then owned I think 3 Tuono's? one 1st Gen & two 2nd Gen's (first gen's are the best if you ask me).

Came very close to buying a new Tuono Factory a few months ago, but decided to go the adventure route for a while. I'm sure I there will be more Aprilia's in the future.

My first Aprilia is my 2013 Tuono V4R APRC. My mom had passed away in April and left me some money. I decided to buy a new motorcycle in June since I had been without for a couple of years and never had the money to get a new one. Since it was a special occasion I decided to buy something truly lust worthy. I always had a thing for MV Agusta Brutale's. I went to look at one in a local dealer and would've bought it too, if it weren't for the salesman pointing out another naked bike from a company is never heard of. It was way more behaved compared to the Brutale, had a great sound, a pretty amazing electronics package, and was cheaper. I thought it was too good to be true. I thanked him, went home, and researched. To my surprise the internet and motorcycle community had been in a love affair with it for a few years already. I came back and got it the next weekend. The first time I heard that beautiful exhaust note as I hit the freeway I was smiling ear to ear. Haven't stopped since.

2004 Tuono, sold it to finance a new roof for the rental property. The twat I sold it to treated it much like one would a farm implement, last I saw it was in terrible condition. I regret that sale to this day, it was an extraordinary machine.
