Triple Tree Cap Ram Ball Mount

Looking for some help from anyone out there who has been able to source a Screw-In replacement Steering Head / triple Tree Cap for an early model
Ohlins setup, that will accomodate (incorporate) a regular sized RAM Ball mount.

See attached pictures for What I'm looking FOR:

And again, I'm looking to REPLACE the screw-in cap with a cap that has a threaded RAM Ball mount for a Cell Phone mounting on my bike.

Odd request, but I dont know if one of these exists???

    Thanks for anyone's help!

I've not seen a replacement steering stem nut with a pre-threaded hole for a ram-mount ball like that before - that does look pretty cool. I've only seen the style that you insert and expand the rubber.

Personally, I use their universal u-clamp on my right clipon. I also use Apex adjustable bars so I believe they are a bit longer than stock so there is just enough room to make it happen. Makes a nice spot for my cellphone.

Black gaffer tape and cable ties do it for me.

The part you illustrated there looks nice. If you have a machining shop nearby you could have one made.

If you find one ready made, do not keep it as a secret.

This is what I did. I got some hex stock and made an expanding clamp. There are RAM balls that have a through bolt, and I used that to expand the clamp.

The supplementary dash is a work in progress.

Like a bar end expanding clamp. Clever.

Is the RAM mount secure in the hex stem?

This is great, I'm a novice DIY'er can you tell me the right parts to get so I can make one too. I don't know how to make a hex socket expand... Tks!

Easiest way I can think of is to cut the hex stock in half at an angle. Loose clearance hole one piece and thread the other. Run the bolt through the clearanced piece and into the thread. When you tighten the bolt the angled cut will cause the two pieces to shift laterally relative to each other which will wedge them both into place.
