Sounds good to me. I rode down the A5 to Capel Curig yesterday via Conwy on the Capo and it was prett much motorcycling heaven - mixed woodland in fresh green leaf and other species in full bloom. I came back to Chester on the A494 from Corwen to Ruthin - twisty and undulating but without any ludicrous bends. All I need to schedule a ride-out is a few weeks' notice. All the routes listed are good, and there are campsites a plenty in N Wales. What i usually do is ride out with my walking boots on, then park up to climb a hill - Moel Siabod yesterday - then ride back in the evening. It's easy to combine fuel burning with fat burning ..

    All wonderful roads chaps.
Just be aware that the best bits are too out of the way for the biking guides, and the sat nav routed in Ride or the MCN

Got into wine, women, song and bikes around here.
Near the castle was a chip shop where we all met up on bikes.
School was at the bottom of the hill, Thursday afternoons were a 3 mile cross country run was across the beach then double Physics.
Mate built his own valve stereo system. Another lived in his mum's house at the top of the hill, parties when she was away in Hong Kong.
The whole of the 60s were such a laugh. We had Velocettes, tuned BSA Bantams, Royal enfield Continental GT tuned, Bsa C15s Lambrettas, Vespas and mopeds, any old junk. A drink, hormone and laughter filled time for us.

If we do the Lleyn, there are some wonderful world class views but as a biking road its not good. It bypasses the best bits. For example there is a wonderful very short and steep road from Llithfaen (Trevor to Nefyn road), with a cafe and a world class cove, but its off the main road. Great to get to the nice bits but slow and not exciting to ride. Outside of the Lleyn most of the roads are great.

Anybody want to start a new thread, please do.

Looks like heaven, I'll go tomorrow.
It's near one of the many little ancient places called Llygaid yr Haul - Eye of the Sun, near Harlech, loking towards Snowdon.

Anybody wabt to start a new thread for a end of Summer Trip?

    Interesting thought -
there are 15 or so seperate megalithic standing stone / small stone circles / hill forts / stone age villages / burial chambers along this short road.
All only just visible on the moor.
What better name than the nearby 'Llygaid yr Haul - Eye of the Sun for winter solstice burial chambers and stone circles?
