    New DD1200 owner (3rd Aprilia)

Just closed a deal on this 2012, 1200 miles on her.
Should have my paws on it this weekend.
Guess I'll need to update my signature line.

No, the Tuono and RSV are long-gone.
Just found out the bike I'm buying doesn't have ABS or T/C which sucks. I thought all the 2012s had that.
    Oh well...

So it arrived this morning. Took her out for her maiden ride and Ho-lee-sh!t!!! What a bike. That motor is ridiculous. I thought the 990 SMR was a beast but it's tame compared to the Aprilia. Fueling wasn't great but I had a Fat Duc waiting and that made all the difference.
Removing the tank was a nightmare though. Lots of swelling to deal with.

Yours appears to be a 2011. Maybe sold and titled in 2012? T
ps.. a set of pipes and a DNA filter make a nice difference too...

VIN tag says March 2012 and titled as a 2012.
Yeah pipes and filter are on the list.

Can't assess it yet as I have my KTM dialed in and the Dorso is all at default. Haven't had time to even set sag.

2 weeks in, I've set sag and made some adjustments and can say the DD suspension is as good as the KTM WP.
    And that's quite a compliment.

I also find DD1200 suspensions quite good. No complains in different scenarios

    Hello,

I have an identical Aprilia and I am very happy !! I've had Tuono and RSV V2, RSV4 and now this is a beast!

Highly recommended to mount mufflers and change engine mapping. I sent my ECU to Gabro Racing and it is wonderful. I've had many bikes, but none as fun as this! It only has something to improve, the fork is excessively hard and not very sensitive ... Otherwise it is a motorcycle wonder !!

Well ... to be honest, I have two other problems with this bike ... The fun is over when you rub the footrest and the tire is destroyed all the time !!

    Nice!
Yeah, slipons and a Gabro re-flash are on the horizon.

Re: front forks, maybe try lighter oil and/or more air gap?

Well I do not know if it can be a good solution ... I have read that many users have chosen to send the forks to tune...
