    new to me - 2010 1198

After 6 apes an Ducati 1198 arrives in my garage. A very interesting ride and now we can catch up on maintenance

Debating about one of those. They are getting cheap enough that the price difference between them and the 1098, not to mention the 848, is pretty small.

Haven't ridden one but they have a reputation for being a bit of an animal with much more low-end torque than the Panigale.

    Have fun!

I need some new-to-me bikes to "appear" in my garage.

    Wife: "WTF?"

    Me: "Damn thing just appeared"

Sweet sweet bike man. Man I sure miss my 1198. I wouldn't race it though, and considering I don't ride road any more I don't know what I would do with it if I still had it. But it still has a spell over me.

I have projects just appear - the 2016 v7 in the background is on the stand -at least i can roll the 1198 out and ride her
here in Colorado I am always aware winter is coming -I have been chased out of the canyons as the first snow of a front arrives

the heated garage makes for a long list of what to do on the bikes - when the last Aprilia left I thought I was done but.....the 1198 is quite the beast

"Naturally the common people don't want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or fascist dictaatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peace makers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” H. Goring

The 1198. Ducati sweetest motor in all it guises. Multistrada and the Monster. It's a great motor. I road my mates ( befor he sold it and brought a Panigale) Ducati 1198 Corse with the aloy tank, stunning motorcycle, I was gutted when he sold it. The big difference I noticed between riding it and the 1199 Panigale on the same day was it's low end torque, it would wheelie so easy 2nd and 3rd. They look so good.
"The Earth is our ancestor....A restless Planet is our creator"..............................In the shed...... Multistrada 1200, Termi full system with matching ECU, and ohlins SCU. KTM 640 supermotard, with full titanium system and a shit load of spares. (track bike) and a 1290 GT. Torque monster. Remus link and muffler.
