Well they are at Phillip Island. I assume they are everywhere else but I just looked at the fastest circuit

I find it ironic that the top two were 1st and damn near last in the series.

Sam WAS last in points (5) amongst the MotoGP regulars. In fact, he was dusted by a pair of wildcards...in only three races apiece, Mika Kallio grabbed 11 points and Michele Pirro 25!

Low men on the crash totem pole were Valentino Rossi (4), followed by Andrea Dovizioso and Hector Barbera (!) with six apiece.

So how's Sam doing on his first Moto 2 test at Jerez on a KTM frame?

Luckily all of those crashes for Lowes were at slow speeds.

Looks like he's about a second off the time of his KTM teammate.
Not too bad given that he has to adjust to a new set of tires and bike.

There are some solid race-winners behind him, so hopefully for him, he can learn the bike and get more out of it.

Nice. It will be interesting to compare those two next season. Honestly, Sam had trouble staying on the bike his last season in Moto 2. Will be do better with KTM?
