Lowes on the outer for 2018, Bautista or Crutchlow to replace him?!

So this is the latest rumour to come out this round. Apparently Lowes may be gone for 2018 and Aprilia are looking at getting back Bautista or bringing in Crutchlow. From what Cal had been saying, it seems like he is definitely considering it. Iannone is keen, but Suzuki would have to let him go.

Personally I wouldn't want Iannone. I'd rather Cal over Bautista, but he's solid and was good for Aprilia. Or Lowes could just pull his finger out...

Wait! What! Wasn't Crashlow on deck to replace Dani at Repsol?

Feel bad for Sam (really do, good guy) but i am super excited about the prospect of Cal on the Aprilia. That will make choosing my wardrobe for Austin GP so much easier; no need to choose between the Team Gresini gear and the Crutchlow 35 shirt. Favorite rider on favorite bike...win! Packing for race weekend just became much simpler.

Plus, who could possibly be a better development rider than Cal? Podiums on the Yamaha, podium on the Ducati, podiums and race wins on the Honda. He might be exactly what is needed to make that final step. Aleix is riding the wheels off that thing and showing promise; imagine what it would be like if he had someone as experienced in developing bikes as Cal alongside in the garage.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut occasionally. The bike as a whole is not remotely competitive for race distance

Ha Ha................ The Aprilia is barely marginally better than the KTM, and how many years have they been back in Moto GP?
It used to be "Rock around the clock" now its "limp around the block".................................In the shed...... Multistrada 1200, Termi full system with matching ECU, and ohlins SCU. KTM 640 supermotard, with full titanium system and a shit load of spares. (track bike) and a Bran spanking new 1290 GT. Torque monster.

Didn't Espagaro get a 5th or 6th this season. A word of warning to any replacement for Lowes, demand in the contract that you have the best bike , because Lowes does not have the same bike as Aleix , nowhere near. Also his team seem, useless they seem to have lots of technical issues that kill his track time

Bautista seems much more likely than Cal. LCR seems keen to keep him.

If not Bautista, IMO the best rider they could get would be someone like Miller who will probably be out of a job after this year if his season continues. But he has proven on his day to be fast (much like Aleix), so they could get a good finish or two out of him.

Another name I will throw out is Marquez. Alex that is.

I don't see Morbidelli at VDS.. they would have signed him already since they got Mir from moto3.
He's waiting for factory phone call.. Probably Ianone will be fedup of the Suzuki & will jump onto the Ape. Looks like Bautista likes the Ducati and he's doing well, not sureh e wants to go back

Looks like yet another DNF for Espargaro. Why would anyone want to ride that disappointment week in and out?

I think this weekend made the decision a bit easier for Cal...talk about disappointing for Aprilia and Aleix.

Surely Morbidelli will be going to VDS, he's bloody good and Rabat is in talks with Aspar and another team (can't remember which one)

Looks like Ducati has it figured out and placement comes down to rider performance. This could turn into another Ducati cup.
