Dudes I've seen pics of two guys in Europe that no shit retrofitted that R1 akra GP slip on, to their RSV4s. Shit is mega sexy. Apparently a custom link pipe is all that's needed.

Ed, so 2016 slip ons and ECUs are going to be unique to that one year?

for RSV4, yes, a one year/model fitment for slip-ons. 2016 Tuonos take the 09-15 fitments. 2017 Tuonos and RSV4 take the same pipes again.

Faaakk. I hope that doesn't make 2016 nuts more expensive, but maybe less expensive.
I need me a race ECU here soon.
I guess 2017 torque demand. Dash, LH controls and ECU might make it all better?

So I guess the street legal/better looking one doesn't require a race ecu, since it doesn't come with a code?

Which say a lot. Kinda goes along with folks saying they're running 2016s with no race ECUs.

    2017 Exhaust and Bike Notes

Looks like the street legal one will still have the butterfly valve and the cat?

The "Street Legal" version looks great. Too bad there will not be a version for the 2016 models.

I think I'm wrong. That was the OEM exhaust I saw a diagram of.

But if I am reading all this right, unless you use their akrapovic exhaust with their ecu flash, you will not have a warranty. Meaning if you use any non- Aprilia Akrapovic exhaust or race accessory ecu kiss the warranty bye-bye? If that's the case it's better to wait until the warranty goes out and do what you want to do with the exhaust

Federal law (Magnussson-Moss) prevents them from blanket voiding your whole warranty. What that means is if there is a failure that could be blamed on the aftermarket exhaust, then they will likely blame that and not cover the failure. Federal law does state they will have to prove the direct failure is a result of the non-std part. If electronics go out, they cant blame the exhaust. If brakes go bad, they cant blame the exhaust. If you got a fluid leak, they cant blame the exhaust. If the stator fails, not the exhaust fault. If the engine burns up....well, they can try to blame it.

Is that 3 to 4 weeks before you can order them? Or 3 to 4 weeks when AF1 has them in?

we can order them now, and the BOs are stacking up. They are listed on the online store already.

We hope they start releasing in 3-4 weeks. Order now, and get in queue. Demand will exceed supply until they catch up.
