was wondering this too. want to get one to play with to try and quiet it down a bit
ordered one a while ago, I guess Akropovic takes quite a while to get stuff out.

I was speaking to pipewerx exhausts about this issue as my local track noise limit is 102dB with a flyby of 89dB. They recommended getting one of their race cans in a longer length of 450mm and using a baffle. For 300 all in you will recoup half that by not getting kicked off the track day http://www.pipewerx.com/race-exhaust...e-exhaust.html

has anyone weighed the complete stock system of the 17's? (can and headers)

AF1 has the full akra system listed as weighing 10.4 lbs but strangely doesnt list the stock setup to show weight savings...

Graves claims the stock exhaust is 13.5 lbs but compares that to their slip on (2.6 lbs).... im assuming the stock can alone isnt 13.5 lbs... but thats the only figure my initial googling turned up...

AF1s listing for just the akra can says it about a 3lb reduction from stock (doesnt list the actual weight)...

    just curious more than anything.

Not the full system, but I today I weighed the stock can (with servo & cables) vs. Akra slip-on. Stock with cables & servo was 15.0 lbs and Akra was 4.6 lbs.

Forgive my ignorance, but why does the guy keep giving it small revs after the pull?

    I am the guy

test procedure in my dyno involve a clutch pulled coast-down after the pull to measure lost drivertrain power... so when you reache rev limiter you shut the throttle and pull the clutch, letting the motor idle. those little revs are needed to spin oil and water pumps and have fluids circulate to dissipate the big heat from the pull.

I had wondered that as well, thanks for the explanation!
