    Tuono 2017 orange alarm - MI warning light



    Hi guys, just 250miles of my brand new Tuono 2017 Factory and this light turns on, both with engine on and off. No other symptoms..just seems ecu cut some power during ride.
    Any idea?

    Let it get checked from your dealer as soon as possible, i would say. with all the technic aboard the tuono i would rather not touch anything

    At least any idea how to try reset the alarm trough the menu?

    I realize its the universal "check engine" indicator, but I still laugh they show an automobile engine indicator light

    I solved, just re-insert personal code and after 15 minutes light disappeared!!

    Up early this morning on my second ride. Only got as far as starting and a little spin down the road. The light has come on my 2017 tuono V4 RR. Stopped riding and came home. Is this something others have been seeing a bit of? Disconnected battery to see if it would reset but hasn’t.

    I have a two month old 2017 Tuono Factory and the same exact issue. I will add that I did have the dealer recommended Akrapovic slip on muffler installed of which there currently isn't a servo available. My dealer, after working directly with Aprilia, concluded that the speedo failed and are replacing it under warranty. I am not happy with this system failure and hope that it doesn't become a regular issue with the brand new electronics introduced this year (2017). I most likely won't be riding much more due to weather but will update everyone as soon as possible. I am very much interested in hearing from others with the new electronics. Also interested in hearing from other with 2017 Tuono Factory with Akrapovic slip on exhaust.

    That maight be a coincidence...
    Personal code, or user code which you use is related to imobiliser and to stored ignition keys... has nothing to do with the engine managment....and if that was a initial problem engine light will go away instanteniously after inserting user code...
    visit yor dealer ASAP and check stored error codes... ask dealer to print out report with FFD from PADS ,.... for your own record...

    Cheers. Will do. Started the bike later in the day and the light has gone just for everyone’s reference. I’ll take it in anyway and see what comes of it. Had a ride for nearly two hours and no sign of issue.

    hey guys
    my first post here...
    tuono 2017 RR
    2,600 km

    this morning had the exact same issue described by guzmania.
    definitely felt loss of power. at some point it felt like the power is back but the light remained on. rode like this for 50 km.
    tried the user code trick by guzmania (how the hell you thought of it? ) and the light is off. WTF ?
    will have to see how it goes when riding latter...

    Weird. If it's like a car, I imagine there is a code stored in the ECU that you could read. That should answer the question or at least put you in the right direction.

    Happened again. 3,100 km.
    For half hour of riding did not feel anything anusual and then the power sudenly droped.
    The sound also changed. Felt like i'm draging a piston.
    The user code trick did not work. F***

    Minethrew that light around the hundred mile mark. Turned out it was the injectors and the dealer very quickly swapped them over.
    Not a light I want to see pop on again.

    Turned out it was a faulty coil. No.2 cylinder. Coil replaced under warranty.
