That did not help. Spins good but no start. Only makes a quiet bang in the exhaust once. Like a "tzub" sound and then. Nothing. So out of ideas. Did spray thro carb with and without throttle open.

i saw the video of the spark. i can not tell if it is a thin blue spark or a fat kernel in the white/yellow/orange range? do you have an idea that it is as good as a japanese car or shity like a 1980 4 stroke lawnmower?

what im saying is check the spark quality like i said above. then take the sparkplug wire off by unscrewing the cdi and sparkplug head. now mark the depth with tape. then screw the cdi and cap back on all the way.

check the spark quality again and use a new sparkplug for both tests.

Ive tried with a functioning spark AND I also did buy a brand new spark. No help. Could the stator be gone once again? I do have a new one in a box so I could try with that. Also I have a functioning cdi to try.

Last time when the stator went I tried to measure currents and what not. Did absolutely no good for me so I just started changing parts. It gave spark but stator was gone. maybe its that all over again.

its just an idea. people get bad spark from the sparkplug wires not screwed in all the way.

Yeah I know. Have experienced with that before. This is not the case. Im waiting for some tools to arrive, actually been waiting for them for 2 months now from a webstore, paid and everything but its been a hazzle to get them even admit that they have not sent me everything I ordered. that includes battery operated ryobi impact wrench.

Maybe I should buy a vespa or a gilera runner 50.

there are 50-80cc mopeds and the insurance would be 1/4 the price. same engine with lots of transmission options. lots of pipes and awesome to work on.

or get a 125cc two-stroke or 4 stroke with cvt that can handle riding 2-up at highway speeds to far away destinations.

theres so many bikes now... derbi senda motard in 50-125cc.
    suzuki rv200/tu250
    honda/ kawi 125 peewee motards

i would be happy working on any of the top 50 models. but buying a cvt bike that cant do 60mph again sounds kind of crazey by textbook deffinition. if its good enough it would be a 125-200cc two stroke. we are all just grasping what they left us.

Changed cdi and stator. No difference. Next thing is to change the crank to oem.

Once agian this engine is off the frame, block was opened and the stock crank was thrown in. Naturally I did not have to change the bearings or sealings since this setting never did run. All I replaced was the oil pump belt since Ive never done it. I do have new gaskets for the top end and will assembly when I have the time. Did bought a ngk "racing" spark plug cable just in case so I can say that every thing on the ignition is changed.

Now its proven. You can not use 5mm longer rod with 5mm adapter. Changed crank to stock and it started right away. God damn what a hazzle! All i can come up with is that the crank was not stock stroke as promised.

Still figuring jet size for this. Original is 53. It has leo vince touring + variator ring and brass restrictor from carb removed. Everything else is stock.

Tried 68, 65, 62 and 60. All of them act pretty much the same:

    -Full rpm pulls well
-low and middle rmp doesnt work (under 6krpm about)
-smokes alot on uphill and doesnt pull hills good
-stalls when giving full throttle on idle
-you have to pump throttle to get to high rpm

the needle is one notch off. the main maybe a 60-62 with stock airbox and no silver carb restrictor plate. if the carb remains wet after all that/ then replace the reeds and do the carb tuning all over again.

tune the carb at peak power not at peak rpm. say 7200-7500rpm. find the most powerfull jet size then keep an eye on the sparkplug. if its one size too big the plugs will foul too fast.

So basicly i have to take the pin up one notch. Oh do I hate carbs specially in a tight space like this and with auto choke.

There are carbs with quick main jet changeability feature. Too bad none has come up with quick neeedle position change alltho atleast real carbs have a screw on cap.
