How do I get more power?

How can I make my 2014 aprilia sr 50 r faster with the the stock cyclinder? Will an open air filter and sports exhaust work well?

dont touch the airbox or the carb needle will never be correct at any clip height. plus it makes the most power too!

the stock reed is very good for power till you pass 9000rpm and an aftermarket exhaust and 70cc kits are all added. if the airfilter stays dry of fuel and no pooling fuel then it is still good for many more miles.

    ---
exhaust choices for a 50cc are any touring pipe you want to try. or if louder is ok then the only sport pipes that will work perfect is the yasuni z for 50cc-70cc no other upgrades needed.

if you get the malossi fly clutch for a 5000rpm engage/ then the tecnigas q-tre is good for stock 50cc but not for 70cc without replacing the cvt.

    ---
there you have it. few pipes are really good on 50cc stock sr50.

the key to succes is keep peak torque at 7500 rpm and peak hp at 8000rpm. then no changes to the stock cvt needed.

overrev is the power beyong 8000 rpm that makes you go fast but you need the peak power in that area to spool out the cvt designed for much larger engines.

    ----
let me me know if that is not clear enough

so the take off is slower because it needs a 5000rpm fly clutch. wich tecnigas is it?

i cant help if you dont know the pipe name. if it is the trek - remove it and buy the {q-tre and malossi fly clutch} OR a yasuni z and no clutch needed. it will sound and drive great.

well that pipe is alot of coin.

are you sure you have the TREK ?

    ----

Well if you cant have perfection.... i suggest a 70cc airsal sport bbk. it has the most torque of any sport cylinder and its cheap. that will rum great with the stock pipe and boost the accel and top speed by 10 km/h.
the trek and airsal sport might be ok to try to jet if you feel confident - but you would need a 5000rpm clutch called the malossi fly and a sport variator...

the trek is made for the airsal racing cylinder- would need to change everything else to run the pair together. change the crank and vario and stuff....

    ----
i think removing the pipe is your only move. ditch it and get a airsal sport 70cc and run the stock pipe till you can afford a yazuni z.

I don't have the stock pipe sadly! If I was not to upgrade the cylinder what would I need to do to get better power, just buy a better pipe?

ok i get it.if you get the q-tre it will have more power. you can try a narraku clutch anytime you get some spare coin. the gianelli extra would work well too. you could try either one and buy a clutch if the takeoff is slow still.

or get a clutch first. do you have tools and a aircompressor?
    how does it run?
is the carb jetted well? did you try looking at the sparkplug?
