All you need to complete the swap is the HW310 ECU, also from the same seller.
tuono 1100 motor will be a straight swap, only the right ecu is required.

rsv4 (till 2014 model) motor swap will be a little more tricky: you have 2 choice on this:
1- convert the motor to Tuono, so you need to swap intake cams from you old tuono motor
2- convert the bike to be an RSV4, that's need to replace the engine wiring loom, airbox top with added injectors, and an RSV4 map flash in your ecu.
ECU tuning and reflashes since 2004!

LOL...Sporty that may be a bit harsh but I understand your opinion.

i have no affiliation with this site but it does offer some sort of solution..

check out copart.com/.. it's an auction site. maybe you can get a thrashed 1100.. you'd get all your needs to make a swap.

that will be what I will look at when mine 1000 grenades....and it will someday..

Ps: I posted this site to help, not promote a sale or anything..sorry if it's against the rules

Just a simple calculation. There is 2012 Tuono with 11K miles at my local Ducati dealer for $7700 that soon will be $7300. It's been sitting there for 10 months. I bet if you show up with $6900 cash they won't object. Who knows, they may go even lower if it needs 12K service (I bet it does). If it's 7K in mid-west , I can't imagine that it will be more costly south from here. I know that bikes purchases are driven by emotions rather than facts, but in some cases you just have to cut the loses and move on. Also, in this price range there are better bikes out there than 2012 Tuono.

Do you plan on beating your bike so hard while neglecting maintenance that you are sure you'll blow it? LOL
I've seen quite a few higher mileage V4 1000s for sale here in Quebec that were running fine. I'm talking about bikes with 25K-40K kms.

It would be interesting to see a poll for each gen of tuono v4. Like: click if you have between 10K-20K; 20-30K, 30-40K; etc.
I don[t know of this forum allows for polls of this kind but I've seen some on other forums for things like favorite color...

Me too.... it's not often you'll get someone posting that they don't have a problem but you'll hear from everyone who does.

You can fit motors from all years tuono into your chassis and I would suggest 13 or newer to make certain it does not have ti valves, many 2012 models did and quite simplified but, I prefer steel valves for street bikes.

Shit I just realized this was 9 page thread, I am sure someone has already covered motor swaps, my bad.
