What kind of gas for the SR50 CARB model?

I've been putting in 87 with no oil mix.

    How bad is this??

By no oil mix do you mean you have been running it without any oil in the 2 stroke oil tank?

    No!

I mean I haven't been mixing any oil in the gas tank.

    I've heard I'm supposed to.

But the manual doesn't mention it.

As a side note, what kind of oil do I fill the oil tank with?

I mean an exact brand and type... there are so many to choose from.

    thanks.

In terms of gas, I tried 89 yesterday, not sure I noticed any difference.

I would suggest ethanol free in 87 or 89. Ive used yamalube in my zuma for 10,000+ miles with good results.
