Disabled SAI -- to block off or not

Gents, Corse ECU disables the secondary air injection system, but for your dyno readings not to be thrown off by the SAI, does it have to be blocked off? I won't bother at this point until I have the engine out eventually to remove the solenoids and block it off unless it's going to make the AFR/exhaust gas readings wonky. It just looks a little higher risk to try with the engine in than is worth if it's not a must (AF1's ad for the Driven plates warn that "engine out of frame installation is much easier" and "the three bolts that hold the covers on can be stripped easily.")

You can always block the intake tubes with marbles. Very common and much easier way to do the "block off"

I went between the 2, tapped and plugged the factory plates. with it disabled it should not allow any air flow because solenoid will stay closed so it wont effect your readings, in theory i believe it to be true, i made the headache move of removing the solenoid and hoses. which meant removing 1 bank of throttle bodies. would not recommend unless they come out anyways. I have removed about about 6-10 feet of hose off the bike so far, makes it a little less messy under the air box. may let some more breathing room, not sure.

if you just lift the tank, can you block intake lines with marbles?
I used marbles on my 2012 Speed Triple.

All it takes in 1 appropriately sized marble in the hose that is connected to the bottom of the air box on opposite side to Crankcase Ventilation hose.

I'm pretty sure it's back and to the right of sitting on the bike, left side(looking from the back towards the front) is oil breather

Yep that's it. EDIT: Make sure you reconnect the hose to block unfiltered air entering the air box.

This one, ignore the black arrow.

If you have the Race ECU or map, you will not seen any errors light on the dash after removing the solenoid valve and plumbing.

If you don't have the Race ECU, you can still remove everything including the valve but you will need to use a 30 ohm 1/2 watt resistor in place of the valve.
The resistor will fool the ECU into thinking the valve is still connected and no error.

If you are comfortable pulling throttle bodies and all involved there then solenoid is not that big a deal. If you plan on re-using throttle body clamps and do not have the special tool do not even try. Patience is also required.
