    Clan Capo 2017

CLAN CAPO 2017 - SUTHERLAND, ROSS & CROMARTY

Depart from Lockerbie around 10.00 hrs Mon 12th June 2017.
    Return trip south Sat 17th.

On Monday 12th, we will gather at Café 91 on Lockerbie High Street for breakfast, good grub. Anytime from 0900hrs. Exit M74 for Lockerbie at Junction 18 and follow signs for the town. As you come in, there is a petrol station on the left. Keep heading into town and you come to a traffic light controlled crossroads (Police station on right at junction). Straight across at lights and café is on your left. Cant miss it.

Day 1 Mon 12th. Depart Lockerbie 10:00hrs ish. Stay overnight at Aviemore Bunk House. £20 per person including bedding & towel. Depending on time, as we get to Coylumbridge near Aviemore, we may take a quick run up to the ski centre on Cairngorm. Some nice views on a 4084 foot mountain.

    Route: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Bb...4A&usp=sharing

Day 2 Tue 13th. Aviemore to Ullapool. Staying overnight in the Caledonian Hotel, twin rooms. £26.50 per person.

    http://www.bespokehotels.com/caledonianhotel

    Route: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1x3...BE&usp=sharing

Day 3 Wed 14th. Ullapool and North. Returning to Caledonian Hotel. £26.50 per person.

    Route: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/ed...9460617779&z=9

Day 4 Thu 15th. Ullapool and North. Returning Caledonian Hotel. £26.50 per person.

    Route: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1B0...fI&usp=sharing

Day 5 Fri 16th. Ullapool to Beinglas Farm, Loch Lomond. Camping Cabins. £15 per person (sleeping bag £3.50, towel £2 - or take your own).

    http://www.beinglascampsite.co.uk/

    Route: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Bx...Kc&usp=sharing

Day 6 Sat 16th. Beinglas to Dumfries.

    Route:

Speyside, Ross, Sutherland. Covering some familiar ground and riding roads we have passed by in previous years. Some dead ends, some fast roads, some slow. Tim, 2017 will involve some even narrower roads! But more open as we are further North, a bit more barren. We will be passing the Bealach Na Ba, so it would be rude not to take a run up again

Nothing set in stone other than the accommodation. Routes can be changed, added to etc. Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Hostels each night.

    No ferries.

Yes please. Put me on the list. I really enjoyed this years Scottish shenanigans

If I set off North soon, I should get there in time for the start! For anyone like me who lives south of Yorkshire and thinks it is a long way to go for a week, well yes; it is. But, the scenery, empty roads, and great banter is well worth the price of admission. Just take some industrial grade ear protection and a gas mask if you plan on getting any sleep at night

I know a few lads that do that for isle o man tt. Bikes hoisted onto fishing boat and over to the Isle. Works out a damned site cheaper than the rip of ferry!
