Run the yellow wires from the regulator across the top of the engine, just behind the radiator and above the exhaust.
I now have my wiring routed this way and can confirm that the issue did not reappear after a track day; it's dry as a bone. Thanks for posting this!

Had my side & lower fairings off to give the inside a good clean & checked the stator connection.
Oil wicking up to connector on RSV4RR with 4800km on clock,

My dealer just lost Aprilia dealership; so currently nowhere to take it locally.
Not that it should be necessary, it's a pretty easy fix, I hope.
    Lucky we have this forum.
I rerouted as per amauri's instructions, hope that solves it.

Just did this on a friend's 2014 Factory - He was having oil wicking. This solution appears to be working! Kudos again Amauri

1200km since rerouting including 2 track days (~200km), no more oil wicking.
Such a simple thing to fix.
    Thanks again amauri.

And one more success story hopefully.

My new to me '13 RSV4 had this oil leak. At first, i thought it was coming from the motor itself since oil was on the inside fairing, and the motor.
After seeing an accumulation of oil around the white/stator wire connector, I started the research and came across this thread.
When I disconnected the connector, oil actually dripped out of the connectors.

Wiring has been re-routed and zip tied back to keep away from exhaust.

Hey folks..... day late here.... Been a lurker... first time posting.... Have this same exact issue on my 13 factory LE. gonna clean it up and move the wiring around and see if this cures the issue... had a few track days now and have had lots of oil all over my fairings.... thought it was weeping from above... looked at the loom and it kinda appeared a tad glossy like the oil was coming from the valve cover area... either way... had not had a chance to dig into this much. I looked at my stator thinking.... HUH.... cant be bleeding through the individual conductors from the stator winding now could it???? Well low and behold it looks like IM WRONG. I will clean up everything... again.. ugh... and re route the wires and see what gives. I hope this fixes it.

I'll put a few hundred miles on it and see if it (gravity) fixes it. Thanks to all for posting up and helping find this "fix"

    Cheers, Wallace

No need to report back in a few hundred miles.
If your's is leaking oil thru the stator wires, the wire re-route will eliminate it.

Even Aprilia has started re-routing the wires on the 2017 bikes now, takes them a little while to implement things like this.

Good for them that we have you and others to do the R & D for them. You're on Aprilia payroll right?
