Do the ones you have referenced to have the pin, and the only difference is that they are shorter on the end? Can someone send a picture to confirm?

That was I can maybe just buy the correct ones instead of trying to modify these ones.

    Thanks

The ones I bought had a stepped pin for the HT contact same as the Aprilia coils and only difference was the length of the coil end. However I have since done another coil and that one just had a flat plate for the HT lead to connect to, some folk have soldered a brass screw in there to create the peg but I just cut up an old Aprilia coil and managed to extract the brass HT connector and just swapped this to the new coil.

Incidentally Carparts4U who supplied my coils were having a sale the other day with 20% off so if that's still on new coils are even cheaper.

    Ok, thanks.
Suppose it's a bit hit and miss then on the coils.
When you cut the old one up, how did you go about attaching that end to the new coil?
    Soldering?

The brass connector from the old coil was an interference fit into the new one so just pressed it into place same as original.

I have adapted a Bremi 20306 (part n. CITRO╦N:0000597077, CITRO╦N:5970.77, CITRO╦N:5970.94, FIAT:9633001580, FIAT:9663278480, PEUGEOT:5970.77, PEUGEOT:5970.94, RENAULT:7701479027, RENAULT:9633001580, RENAULT:9664401880), which looks just like yours, on my 2001 Pegaso Cube IE and it worket just fine. Some additional problems developed though no longer after though. Idle stall and shut down at traffic light (which might have been preexisting). I have measured the resistance and it returns position A (left pin - , right pin +)= 0.9 ohm (which should be 0.6 ohm +-10%) and position B (right pin - , plug of the coil +) 10 M ohm but, though it should be 10 k ohm +-10% on the manual. What do you think?

I've used the Ford coils without incident to get a guy back on the road....still running, has since replaced all but the Ford coil.
