    Tyga has landed!

Just been to pickup my Tyga chamber!

The good news is there's no customs charges thanks to Paul and Clarisse at Tyga. Both were more than helpful when it came to customs declerations

It has cost 99 all in which I think is quite a good deal.

    The obligitory pics....

Sorry some of them are less than great, I had to downsample them a lot to make em fit on the forum.

    The box...

Anyway gotta go an fit the thing now.

Its light, very light. Suprised me to be honest, its prolly a 1/4 weight of a stock chamber. The welds are neat but perhaps not all placed in the most eye pleasing locations. Must not forget its supposed to be for racing and looks prob aren't high on the list.

Quality of the metal seems fine, its clear coated and thats flaking in places which is the only bad thing I can say about it so far.

    More thoughts later!

    Not good.

Fit seems poor tbh, the manifold has the bolts accessable so you dont have to mess with the springs but it was fouling the sidestand and wouldn't go on. (I spent 30-40mins tryin)

Got it on with the sidestand off and for some reason it was possible to put the stand back on and it doesnt foul?? Werid.

Anyway the big problem is that the holes on the end of it meet the std end can fine, but they are not in the right place. The can has to be at a twist of about 90 degrees.

It won't meet the pillion footpeg hanger now either, when I put the can on its in the wrong place slightly and the bracket won't meet.

I see everyone else with a fabricated bracket, is this needed on all exhausts?

On the JL i had problems with the rear hanger, informed jim and he now sends the Aprilia part 38 which is a link piece to alloy you to run the rear pegs, or make your own hanger.

I had stand clearences but that was because my stand pin was abit to long, i modified the pipe to suit but later found another way around it, have 2 people help fit it and aling it differenly.

Should probably take back the comment about the fit. I was expecting bolt on and now I have the dremmel out ffs.

It fits nice all round, meets all the mountings etc.

A serach shows that all aftermarket chambers need new hangers (or the ones I saw all had no pegs)

The can is a nightmare, I wish I had got a Tyga one now.

Not only are the holes upside down but the tyga has a tube sticking out of the end where it meets then can. This is supposed to go inside the can.

The std can doesn't have a big enuff hole, so I'm making that bigger atm. Then drill some holes and tap some threads so I can put the can on properly.

    Then onto hanger making!!

By the time I'm done I'll of enjoyed it but atm I just want the bike back together and running!!

why didnt you get a can at the same time? you could get one of the new jl TiT to go on the end, would look pretty nice, im suprised you didnt spray the chamber first.

I want a JL or MIG, which is why I didn't get a tyga can.

It will be sprayed too, just this is a test fit. Many times I've messed with something and then it turns out to be faulty etc and I've shafted myself by meddling with it first
