    My sexy 1078 Brutale

After owning an Aprilia (Tuono and RSV) and a few Moto Guzzi, I landed on my first MV Agusta. A 2009 Brutale 1078RR. Bike only had 460 miles on it. So far I love it. I had Tuono, Speed Triple and also currently ride a gs 1200. The rush you get from the Brutale is a whole new chapter.

Here is a short walk around video of the beast: https://youtu.be/55Ckn0b9UfU

Dallas, does the '09 have a steel tank like the F4, or is it the first year for plastic? I'm pretty sure that by 2010 they were plastic.

    I'm considering a 2011 model- a 1090 RR - any thoughts? I'm looking at it alongside a v4 tuono.

Size: 65.9 KBLooks like mine. If you have the money get a microtech ECU, decat, slip on. Makes the bikes throttle so much smoother plus picks up 15 hp and sounds even better. The bike handles great the wheel base is short so it likes to wheelie a lot. I have over 8K miles and almost half of them are track days with no issues other than the water pump seals leaking at 7K.

The double cans sound good but they tend to get in the way of your heel when you try to hang off bike when riding hard.

Plastic tank but never had any issues like the Apes do.

Yes, on my list. Not cheap. I was quoted $1,300 just for the micro tech. I'll have to wait for the spring, along with header/decat.
I did add a new seat from Tamburini. Now my wife can ride with me without slipping

Although different vintage bikes, I put a Microtech on my 2007 F4 1000R after removing the cat and adding an RG3 exhaust. Not only did it cure the backfire on deceleration, but really transformed the throttle response and the bike runs a lot cooler too. Chris at X-Bikes has some really good maps and is a great place to buy a Microtech. It's definitely worth the $1,300.

    Nice bike guy !
After owning a first RED/GREY 1078 BRUTALE, then a 800 Brutale, I buy a second time an 1078 Brutale in 2015, few days after buyed my 1100 Tuono !
Miss Tamburini have a full titanium exhaust, looks exactly as the custom model with double cans, made by MOTOCORSE in Italy , which made
    102 db
And others titanium et carbo parts...
